Planning to travel to Spain or Latin America? In that case speaking some Spanish will be handy when asking for directions or speaking to a bus driver, when trying to get a good bargain in a shopping afternoon or when feeling sick and in need of medical help. In this course we will help to deal with basic daily situations that you will encounter during your travelling. This will make you feel more confident and safe or simply help you to have some fun and become more integrated into the Spanish speaking society. It doesn’t really matter what your motivation is, we can help you reach these goals in just a few weeks!

For whom?

Basic Spanish for travellers is a course designed either for absolute beginners or for people with some basic knowledge. This course is very interactive and it is communicatively designed, so the main objective is to help you develop your conversational skills. The Basic Spanish for travellers course is divided into 5 modules. By taking this course you will ideally cover 3, 4 or 5 modules according to your interests and needs. This way, if you already have some prior knowledge we will help you to broaden your vocabulary and to face more specific situations. If you are an absolute beginner we will help you to acquire the foundations of Spanish and to face daily situations.

Basic Spanish for travellers course contents

In this course we offer you a total of 5 modules. During these you will learn how to start and maintain conversations + many useful tips to talk about:

1. Personal information, interests, [basic knowledge to chitchat]
2. Food, restaurants, markets, [basic knowledge to interact with waiters and vendors]
3. Reservations, locations and directions, [basic knowledge to use public transport and not get lost]
4. Shopping, descriptions and recommendations, [basic knowledge to obtain good advice (and discounts! If possible)]
5. Health, doctors, being ill, pharmacy [basic knowledge to communicate your needs]

Basic Spanish for travellers packages description

The course is flexible and we offer 3 options, it depends on how much content you would like to include in it. Here you have an idea of how it works:

1. Basic package: 7 lessons [6 content lessons + a final recapitulation & test lesson]. This option includes 3 out of the 5 modules.
2. Premium package: 9 lessons [8 content lessons + a final recapitulation & test lesson]. This option includes 4 out of the 5 modules.
3. Premium Plus package: 11 lessons [10 content lessons + a final recapitulation & test lesson]. This option includes the 5 modules.

During the trial lesson we will discuss the placement test results, set your goals, and finish with you the intake form.

Materials and resources

We like to work with many different materials sources and resources so we can work on improving all your skills. For this course we will provide you with everything you need plus some extras.

Registration requirements

In order to register for this course you are asked to complete 2 documents:

• Placement test to determine your starting level
• Intake form to have an idea about what your goals are and priorities.

For Duo and Trio options:

• Registration is only possible in pairs or trios - bring your mates!
